OverNet Data & Microsoft Launch ConfNET
Mobile Software for Conference Delegates

OverNet Data plc today announces the launch of ConfNET mobile software for
conference delegates. Created in conjunction with Microsoft, OverNet Data's
software has been developed to network conference delegates using Microsoft
Pocket PC 2002. Using Wireless LAN, the software includes Buddy Locator an
application that provides the location of delegates within a conference venue
and enables the user to receive alerts when their colleagues arrive.

ConfNET will be deployed at the first ever Microsoft EMEA Mobility Developer
Conference in London, April 17 - 18th.  The application will be installed on up
to 1000 Pocket PC devices which will be provided to delegates for the duration
of the conference.

Microsoft's EMEA Mobility Group Lead Business Manager, Adam Anger, commented:

enables a Microsoft .NET application to manage the complexities of keeping one
thousand conference delegates in touch with one another, effectively bringing to

OverNet Data has recently been appointed to the Microsoft Early Adopter ISV
Programme for the newly launched Smartphone 2002 and Pocket PC 2002 Phone
Edition software platform.
