Purchase Price for USD15m Share Purchase

Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund Limited ("PAX" or the "Company") the closed end, AIM-listed feeder fund for Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund L.P. (the "Master Fund") announced on 6 October 2014 that the Master Fund would shortly commence a programme to purchase Company shares over the course of the next six months.

Edmond de Rothschild Securities (UK) Limited ("Rothschild") will manage this programme through two USD15m share purchases. The first USD15m will be used to purchase shares at USD1.555 per share (the "Purchase Price"), which is an 8% discount to the Company's 30 September 2014 unaudited NAV per share of USD1.69 per share.

Shares will be purchased at the Purchase Price on Friday 24 October. If sell orders exceed USD15m, orders will be allocated pro-rata. If funds remain available at the end of the first share purchase, they will supplement the funds allocated for the second share purchase.
