Results of Share Purchase

Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund Limited ("PAX" or the "Company") (AIM: PAX), the closed-end investment company admitted to trading on AIM and listed feeder for Pacific Alliance Asia Opportunity Fund L.P. (the "Master Fund"), announces the results of the Share Purchase that closed on 30 January.

The Master Fund Share Purchase budget of USD 29,494,625 included the unused USD 14,494,625 carried over from the 24 October 2014 Share Purchase.

The Company's broker Edmond de Rothschild Securities (UK) Limited ("Rothschild") received orders to sell 33,113,507 shares at the Purchase Price of USD$1.64. As a result, sell orders were scaled back approximately 45% on a pro-rata basis and the Master Fund purchased 17,984,527 shares at a price of USD$1.64 per share.

The Master Fund now has an interest in 44,021,083 shares in the Company, representing 46.6% of the shares in issue.
