Purchase of Own Shares

In accordance with Listing Rule 12.4.6R, the Company announces that, in connection with the Tender Offer (the results of which were announced earlier today), on 10 April 2017 the Company purchased 41,762,005 Ordinary Shares at a price of 715 pence per Ordinary Share. These 41,762,005 Ordinary Shares have been cancelled.

Shareholders who tendered more than their Individual Basic Entitlement were not scaled-back and had their Individual Excess Tenders satisfied in full.

Capitalised terms used in this announcement have the same meaning as ascribed to them in the shareholder circular published by the Company on 10 March 2017 in connection with the Tender Offer.
