                    TRANSACTION IN OWN SECURITIES


On 31 October 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 13,664 GBP
shares at a range of prices from price of GBP 8.635 to GBP 8.65 (the
"Transaction")

On 31 October 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 30,633 EUR
shares at a price of EUR 8.3  (the "Transaction")

On 31 October 2008, the Company purchased into treasury 47,245 US$
shares at a range of prices from US$ 8.3 to US$ 8.5  (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
13,664 of its GBP issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued GBP shares of the Company to 22,479,386. (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
30,633 of its EUR issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued EUR shares of the Company to 48,479,418. (the
"Transaction")

The Board of the Company has resolved with immediate effect to cancel
47,245 of its US$ issued shares, thereby reducing the number of
outstanding issued US$ shares of the Company to 38,372,457. (the
"Transaction")

Following the Transaction, there are now in issue (to the exclusion
of those held in treasury) 43,854,798 EUR Shares, 36,423,062 US$
Shares and 20,311,966 GBP Shares.  The total number of shares held in
treasury are 4,624,620 EUR Shares, 1,949,395 US$ Shares and 2,167,420
GBP Shares.
