                      Annual General Meeting Trading Update 
 
 
Michael Neville, Chairman of Telephonetics PLC ("Telephonetics"), a leading 
speech recognition and voice automation specialist will make the following 
statement at its AGM later today: 
 
Telephonetics has made a good start in 2010 and trading for the first four 
months of the financial calendar has been in line with expectations with the 
rate of new customer acquisitions and sales orders being greater than in the 
corresponding period last year. 
 
We are a trusted supplier in the growing health and public sector markets and 
this has helped the company to continue making good progress. In the period we 
have had a number of high profile tender wins in the public sector market 
including South Staffordshire Council, South Ayrshire Council and Haringey NHS 
Trust. 
 
In the current climate where there is close scrutiny of public sector budgets, 
our core customers, being NHS Trusts, councils, higher education institutions 
and police forces, have increasingly recognised that our packaged speech 
recognition and voice automation applications offer excellent value for money 
solutions. 
 
In March 2010, we agreed an extension of a multi-million pound contract with 
Odeon-UCI Cinemas for provision of the MovieLine  automatic speech recognition 
film information and ticket booking service to all of Odeon's 105 UK cinema 
sites as well as its UCI sites in Ireland. This agreement was particularly 
noteworthy as it means that we will provide our flagship service until 2015, 
well beyond the previous expiry date of spring 2012. 
 
This morning, we were pleased to announce that we have also won a new multi-year 
contract with Ireland's largest cinema operator, Omniplex Cinemas. 
 
Given the Group's healthy trading position combined with the fact that it is 
largely debt free with significant cash funds means we look to the future with 
confidence.
