            RE-CLASSIFICATION OF COMPANY'S LISTING UNDER CHAPTER 14

Following TRIO's announcement of the results of its extraordinary general
meeting held on 26 February 2007, TRIO announces that the re-classification of
the Company's listing from its previous listing under Chapter 15 of the Listing
Rules to that of an overseas company listed under Chapter 14 of the Listing
Rules became effective today.
