    TRIO Finance plc ("TRIO" or the "Company")                   

                   Special Dividend and Share Consolidation                    

On 15 August 2007, the Company announced proposals for the payment of a special
interim dividend of US$11m (equivalent to US$1.10 per Existing Ordinary Share)
and a share consolidation of the Company's shares. The share consolidation will
replace every 5 Existing Ordinary Shares with 4 New Ordinary Shares.

A circular setting out full details of the special dividend and share
consolidation and convening an extraordinary general meeting has today been
posted to shareholders and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK
Listing Authority's Document Viewing Facility which is situated at: Financial
Services Authority, 25 The North Colonnade, Canary Wharf, London, E14 5HS,
telephone 020 7066 1000. The EGM will be held at Dorey Court, Admiral Park, St
Peter Port, Guernsey GY1 3BG at 10.30 a.m. on Monday, 10 September 2007.
