Large US automotive manufacturerselects Ubisense Smart Factory System for their yard management application

Cambridge, UK - Ubisense Group Plc ("Ubisense" or the "Company") (LSE:UBI), a market leader in location based smart technology, is pleased to announce that a large, global automotive manufacturer has selected the Ubisense Smart Factory System for a yard management application at one of its facilities in the United States.

The installation will use a more advanced version of the tri-mode tag introduced last year to extend the reach of the Ubisense Smart Factory System already used indoors in manufacturing plants around the world. The new system now allows for seamless operation both indoors and outdoors and provides complete visibility and control of vehicles, critical containers and SKUs as they move through the supply chain in a single software environment. This provides users with a comprehensive view across the entire facility and delivers valuable manufacturing intelligence when combined with other manufacturing execution data from MES.

Richard Green, Ubisense Chief Executive Officer, said we are delighted that our Smart Factory System has been selected for another indoor-outdoor application which highlights the trend of existing customers expanding the range of applications across their manufacturing plants.
