RESULTS OF ENHANCED SCRIP DIVIDEND ELECTION - 2023 FINAL DIVIDEND

Enhanced Scrip Dividend elections were received in respect of 111,793,630 shares representing a take up of approximately 25.65% of the Company's share capital. This will result in the issue of 2,737,854 new ordinary shares (approximately 0.63% of the current issued share capital). These shares will be issued based on a c.0.5% enhancement to the 2023 final dividend and at an effective discounted scrip reference share price of 920p as announced on 25 April 2024.  These shares will rank pari passu in all respects with the Company's existing issued ordinary shares.

Applications will be made to the UK Financial Conduct Authority for these shares to be admitted to the Premium Segment of the Official List and to the London Stock Exchange for these shares to be admitted to trading on the Main Market for listed securities. It is expected that admission will occur on 24 May 2024.

Following the issue of these shares, the total number of shares in issue and voting rights in the Company will be 438,615,826 with effect from 24 May 2024. This may be used by shareholders as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the UK Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.

Share certificates will be posted to certificated shareholders who elected for scrip dividend shares and shareholders holding shares in CREST, who elected for scrip dividend shares, will have their CREST accounts credited directly on 24 May 2024.
