offer closing date

The board of Register.com (UK) Limited announces that, having declared the offer
wholly unconditional on 22 February 2002, the offer for Virtual Internet plc by
Register.com (UK) Limited will, in accordance with clause 1 ( c ) of the further
terms of the offer, as set out in Appendix I, Part B of the offer document
posted to shareholders on 1 February 2002, close on 27 March 2002.  In
accordance with its terms the Warrant Offer will also close on 27 March 2002.
