ADP ®, a leading provider of HR, payroll and benefits
administration services, recently introduced its new FSA Growth
Program to help clients drive enrollment in their Flexible Spending
Account (FSA) programs. With almost 1,200 large clients currently
using its FSA solutions, ADP is offering a complimentary employee
communications program aimed at helping employers educate their
employees in discovering and understanding the benefits of FSA
programs.
Despite employers and employees desire to save money, FSAs are
often overlooked as a key method of savings. Even with the proven
benefits of FSA programs to reduce employees' out-of-pocket costs
for rising medical expenses such as prescriptions, deductibles and
co-pays, average participation rates are at a low 15 percent. Using
this new ADP FSA Growth Program can help drive tax savings for
employers and employees. Participating employees can use pre-tax
dollars to pay for approved medical and dependent care expenses.
And employers save money by not having to pay certain payroll taxes
on participants' election amounts. For example, if an organization
with 2,500 employees and an average per employee contribution of
$1,500 increased FSA participation to 30% (from the average of
15%), they could save an additional $43,000 per year in payroll
taxes.
ADP's FSA Growth Program provides easy-to-understand content for
employee campaigns, including customizable templates for printed
materials such as table tents and posters, e-mail templates, and
videos to promote awareness in targeted FSA enrollment meetings.
The messaging ADP has created clearly portrays the financial
benefits to employees by equating the savings to personalized
money-saving scenarios, such as receiving coupons for approved
medical and dependent care expenses. Additionally, the ADP FSA
enrollment kit includes a Quick Step Guide for HR/benefits client
contacts and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) for employees. These
materials provide clients with the necessary tools to assist them
in rolling out a complete and successful FSA communications
campaign.
"ADP makes it easy for us to utilize its pre-packaged FSA
materials and compelling videos, which we incorporate in our
existing benefits communications," said Stephanie Olexson, Senior
Director of Benefits, WebMD. "The combination of ADP's FSA
communications and the WebMD Health Manager, which allows employees
to both calculate their health savings needs and make decisions
regarding care, has resulted in increased employee FSA
contributions."
"In many organizations, FSA programs are often the most
under-utilized benefit. By helping our clients position FSA
programs in ways employees understand and can relate to in their
personal lives, ADP is providing a better HR experience," said
Carlos Rodriguez, President, ADP National Account Services and
Employer Services International. "Partnering with our clients to
deliver solutions that work for them is a key initiative."
