ADP®, a leading global provider of human capital management solutions, today announced that it will soon provide data and insights into U.S. regional and state private sector employment trends with the launch of the ADP Regional Employment Report(SM) on May 10, 2013.

Like the ADP National Employment Report®, ADP's widely followed gauge of U.S. nonfarm private sector employment, the ADP Regional Employment Report will be produced by ADP in collaboration with Moody's Analytics, Inc. The new report will be derived from ADP's transactional payroll data and measure monthly changes in regional and state nonfarm private employment on a seasonally adjusted basis. It will be issued each month by the ADP Research Institute(SM), a specialized group within ADP that provides insights around employment trends and workforce strategy.

"The ADP National Employment Report has long been a widely followed and valued measure of monthly U.S. private sector employment on a country-wide basis," said Carlos Rodriguez, president and chief executive officer of ADP. "To help employers devise more informed human capital management strategies, we are introducing a separate monthly ADP Regional Employment Report that will assess the course of regional and state employment based on actual transactional payroll data, and provide even richer, deeper insights into U.S. labor market direction at the regional and state level."

Each month, the ADP Regional Employment Report will report private sector employment changes within the nine U.S. Census Bureau Divisions, as well as 29 individual U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The first ADP Regional Employment Report will be released on May 10, 2013, reporting April 2013 data. Subsequent reports will be released each month on the first Wednesday following the release of the ADP National Employment Report.

In addition to revealing total job increases and declines in a single report each month, ADP will make available regional and state-specific jobs data by sector and select industries. This information will be accessible and downloadable on www.ADPemploymentreport.com. Historical regional and state data dating back to 2005 also will be available on the site beginning May 10.
