ROSELAND, N.J., Oct. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/
-- ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital
Management (HCM) solutions, today announced it is co-hosting the
second annual Small Business Summit on Security, Privacy, and Trust
in partnership with the National Cyber Security Alliance (NCSA),
Microsoft®, ESET, the Council of Better Business
Bureaus, the William Paterson
University Small Business Development Center, and the
Passaic County, New Jersey
Department of Economic Development. The Summit, to be held
from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. EST on
Wednesday, October 30, will take
place at William Paterson University,
1600 Valley Road, Wayne, NJ.
ADP is co-hosting the summit in support of the 10th
anniversary of National Cyber Security Awareness
Month. Designed specifically for small and midsized
businesses, this interactive event aims to help owners learn how to
better safeguard information relating to their business, employees
and clients by learning more about best practices in cyber
security, including:
- Identifying current and future cyber risks
- Protecting employee and client data
- Protecting money and transactions
- What to do if attacked
"Innovative, online technologies have transformed how smaller
companies conduct nearly every facet of their business, creating
exciting growth opportunities," said Anish Rajparia, president of ADP's
Small Business Services Division. "At the same time,
however, these advancements have created new forms of risk. ADP is
pleased to support the National Cyber Security Alliance and its
partners to help equip small businesses with the information they
need to protect their organizations as they grow," Rajparia
added.
Roland Cloutier, vice president
and chief security officer at ADP, said: "ADP is committed to
helping individuals and the business community—especially owners of
small and midsized businesses who have to make careful decisions
about how to best deploy their often limited resources—better
understand ways to adopt best-in-class, cyber security
standards. ADP is proud to support the National Cyber Security
Alliance's efforts to educate, train and enable organizations to
help protect themselves and their businesses from cyber risks."
Continuing professional education (CPE) credits are available
for Summit participants. While there is no fee for this event,
space is limited. For more information about the Summit and
