ROSELAND, N.J., Dec. 17, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Several
Seattle entrepreneurs will receive free human resource management,
payroll, compliance, and benefits administration services from
ADP® as part of its sponsorship of an angel
investment competition hosted by the Seattle Angel Conference
IV.
Booktrope, which is re-inventing book development, production
and marketing using web based tools, won the overall competition
and, in addition to receiving a $205,000 angel award investment from the Seattle
Angel Conference IV LLC, will receive one year of free
comprehensive human resource management support services from ADP
Resource. The five other finalists will receive three free months
of HR support services.
The Seattle Angel Conference Investment Competition is an
investor-led event dedicated to training the next generation of
angel investors and stimulating economic and job growth by funding
startups. Finalists for this year's investment competition
were selected from more than 40 companies based in Washington. The selection process was
determined by 37 active angel investors who selected the winning
company.
"Entrepreneurs play an essential role in growing our local and
national economy," said Larry
Feinstein, general manager of ADP Resource. "The
Seattle Angel Conference could make a notable contribution to this
growth, so we're proud to participate and give startups the
resources they need to grow their company and drive business
results."
ADP Resource, an administrative services offering (ASO), entered
the Seattle market earlier this
year and has been helping regional small and midsized businesses
reduce the administrative burdens of HR management and manage
regulatory complexities, such as those presented by the
Affordable Care Act. Businesses using these services have
more time to focus on growth and client service, rather than on the
administrative tasks associated with HR administration.
