ADP Dealer Services Introduces "ADP Telephony in the Cloud," a Hosted Collaboration Solution Powered by Cisco

Integrated Voice, Video, Presence, Desktop Sharing and Chat for Automotive Dealerships, Delivered Through the Cloud

HOFFMAN ESTATES, IL--(Marketwired - Jan 24, 2014) - ADP Dealer Services, Inc., a division of ADP® and a leading global technology solutions provider dedicated to helping dealerships drive measurable results across every area of their operation, introduced today ADP Telephony in the Cloud, a hosted collaboration solution, delivering voice, video, presence, desktop sharing and chat, delivered through the cloud for all users on any device: desk phone, mobile phone or tablet. ADP is the first service provider to create a hosted dealership collaboration solution that integrates with their own Dealer Management System (DMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

Based on Cisco technologies, ADP Telephony in the Cloud (ATC) allows ADP Dealer Services' clients to operate Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS), including integrated voice, video, presence and mobility applications for compatible desktop and mobile devices. ADP is offering ATC on a per month/per user pricing model. Since ATC is deployed through the cloud, dealers are not burdened with the capital costs and additional equipment needed to meet the redundancy requirements, both of which are often associated with on-site solutions.

ATC features rich integrations with the ADP Drive DMS and ADP CRM, greatly enhancing dealership workflows.

"ADP Telephony in the Cloud is a new way of thinking about collaboration in an increasingly mobile world. Dealership employees using their personal mobile devices to contact customers has always been a challenging issue," says Dean Bergan, Division VP of Technology Solutions and Network Solutions at ADP Dealer Services. "ATC helps dealerships embrace employee mobile devices by giving them a solution that enhances mobility though turnkey managed communication, enabling collaboration for all employees."

ATC extends the benefits of cloud-based business services to an area that has always been the province of the traditional on-site phone system:

  • No large upfront capital expense is required - A simple monthly seat fee covers the cost of all standard, and most advanced, features, so dealers only pay upfront for telephones and any required network equipment.
  • ADP is responsible for all hardware and software upgrades - Dealers never again need to worry about regularly replacing expensive servers and obsolete versions of system software.
  • ATC provides utility service levels of reliability - Not only are all components of the ATC system redundant, even the Data Centers that provide the ATC service are redundant.

In addition to ATC's attractive feature and operational benefits, users can also take advantage of ADP's unique DMS and CRM integration applications.

A simple feature like ATC's screen pop can help employees view full customer information before they even pick up the phone and log the lead directly into ADP CRM. These screen pops of customer information can help employees increase productivity, while also delighting the customers. Additional options, like call recording and reporting, allow dealers to measure how efficiently calls are handled in ways that were not possible before. Workflow enhancements, like allowing Service Writers to create a prepopulated repair order with a single click, make information processing bottlenecks a thing of the past.

"Through the Cisco® Hosted Collaboration Solution, Cisco is enabling our partners to provide cloud-based solutions with unmatched levels of flexibility for their customers," said Richard McLeod, Cisco Senior Director, Worldwide Collaboration Channel Sales. "We look forward to continuing to work closely with ADP Dealer Services to ultimately assist their clients in deploying collaboration technologies that bring about a new way of working."

ADP will showcase ADP Telephony in the Cloud at the NADA Convention & Expo Booth #2953 on January 24-27 in New Orleans, LA.
