ROSELAND, N.J., June 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/
-- ADP®, a leading global provider of Human Capital
Management (HCM) solutions, announced that the company's President
and CEO, Carlos Rodriguez, will be
honored during New Jersey City
University's (NJCU) American Dream Gala. Mr. Rodriguez
will receive the Corporate Citizen Award this evening at the Great
Hall on Ellis Island.
The Corporate Citizen Award recognizes individuals and
organizations that demonstrate a commitment to diversity, inclusion
and giving back to their communities. As a measure of the
success of the company's diversity mission, ADP was recently named
to DiversityInc's 2014 "Top 50 Companies for Diversity" list for
the fifth consecutive year. The company was also named to
Working Mother's 2014 list of Top 25 Companies for
Multicultural Women and received top honors from the Human Rights
Campaign Corporate Equality Index.
"Diversity is mission-critical for ADP because we believe a
diverse workforce provides the best talent for us and our clients,"
said Mr. Rodriguez. "Receiving this award from NJCU is a
testament to our company's commitment to cultivating an inclusive
culture that reflects the markets we serve."
Based on his experience as someone whose family immigrated to
the U.S. when he was a child, Mr. Rodriguez is a strong supporter
of higher education and has a deep appreciation for enhancing
diversity in the workforce. He chairs ADP's executive
diversity council and has championed the goal of an inclusive
workforce.
Mr. Rodriguez will share center stage with two other visionary
leaders: former Congressman Frank J.
Guarini who will receive the NJCU Leadership Award for
Lifetime Public Service; and Chirag
Patel, '89, president and co-founder of Amneal
Pharmaceuticals, who will be honored as the NJCU Alumnus of
Distinction. The purpose of the American Dream Gala is to
raise scholarship money for students planning to attend NJCU, a
four-year state university with a student population of more than
8,400 undergraduate and graduate students. Eighty-five
percent of the full-time undergraduates at NJCU receive some kind
of need-based financial aid.
