ROSELAND, N.J., Sept. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- ADP®, a leading global provider of human capital management solutions, today introduced mobile tax credit screening for the federal Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC). Mobile screening is the latest addition to the ADP Tax Credits offering and allows businesses to screen for WOTC eligibility from any location using a mobile device or tablet, helping to speed up the overall credit capture process. ADP research indicates that its Tax Credits business is the first to provide a mobile tax credit screening offering.

ADP Introduces Mobile Tax Credit Screening for Work Opportunity Tax Credit

Companies of all sizes often expend significant time and resources screening job applicants and verifying and documenting employees for WOTC and other point-of-hire credits. When companies are conducting mass-hiring, such as at job fairs or during store openings, they often revert to paper applications and manual processes to fill out and submit WOTC applications to states. ADP's new mobile tax credit screening helps companies reduce the time and resources needed to determine eligibility and submit applications for the WOTC and other credits by making the application process available electronically in virtually any location. The offering allows job applicants to enter information on a mobile device or tablet and alerts them on the spot of additional documentation required to complete the application.

"We often hear from our clients that on-the-go WOTC screening is a significant challenge. When they're in a location without Internet access, employers often use a slower, manual screening method or choose not to screen all potential candidates," said Jeanne Madden, vice president operations, ADP Tax Credits.  "By making the process accessible anywhere with an Internet connection, ADP is helping companies screen the maximum number of employees to help improve the efficiency and value of their WOTC screening process."

The new offering, available via a web interface, is the latest addition to an already comprehensive suite of ADP WOTC screening and delivery solutions that offer superior flexibility, including Web-in, call-in and IVR (with electronic or voice signature, and form delivery via fax, email and Secure Document Upload ) as well as mail-in programs.  These services help enable companies to take full advantage of available tax credits and incentives to help reduce a company's overall tax liability.

Additional features will be added to the mobile tax credit screening offering in the future, including the ability for hiring managers to enter the necessary information to complete the WOTC application process after an employee is hired, and the ability for job applicants to take photos of any required supporting documentation and upload it to ADP – all directly from a mobile device.

"One of the primary benefits of our company's relationship with ADP is the constant innovation to existing products and services that ADP brings to the table," said Mike Wright, the director of human resources at Mint Julep Restaurant Management Group. "Advancements like this in usability and technology help us stay ahead of the curve by helping to increase efficiency and reduce the time we have to spend on manual processes."
