TORONTO, Feb. 21, 2019 /CNW/ -- Employment in
Canada increased by 35,400 jobs
from December to January according to the January
ADP® Canada National Employment
Report. Broadly distributed to the public each month,
free of charge, the ADP Canada National Employment Report is
produced by the ADP Research Institute®. The
report, which is derived from actual ADP payroll data, measures the
change in total nonfarm payroll employment each month on a
seasonally-adjusted basis.

"2019 is off to a strong start," said Ahu Yildirmaz, vice
president and co-head of the ADP Research Institute. "While
there was a slowdown in education and healthcare, all other
industries performed very well. Trade had a significant increase in
employment, accounting for approximately one third of all jobs
added this month."
The December total of jobs added was revised down from -13,000
to -20,900.
The February 2019 ADP Canada
National Employment Report will be released at 8:30a.m.ET on March 21,
2019.
