today announced that its subsidiary – Fuwei Films (Shandong) Co., Ltd ("Shandong Fuwei") was
certified as meeting the requirements of OHSAS 18001:2007
Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
OHSAS 18001 is an internationally recognized assessment
specification for occupational health and safety management
systems. OHSAS promotes a safe and healthy working environment by
providing a framework that allows organizations to reduce the
potential for accidents and improve overall performance.
Shandong Fuwei started its application last October and had
conducted hazard identification, risk assessment and controls and
obtained the OHSAS 18001:2007 certification this June with the term
of the certificate beginning on June 1,
2012 and ending June 1,
2015.
The certification is instructed and conducted by SGS-CSTC
Standards Technical Services Co., Ltd. ("SGC") - Beijing Office.
SGS is the world's leading inspection, verification, testing and
certification company.
