Mercury BTO Enterprise is the industry's first integrated suite of BTO offerings designed to help customers optimize the business outcomes of IT. Mercury BTO Enterprise can also help disparate IT teams such as program and portfolio managers, quality and performance assurance managers, business analysts, and IT operations teams to work in a more effective manner by integrating and automating key functions across IT governance, application delivery, and application management. Customers can also use Mercury BTO Enterprise to establish a lifecycle approach to control application changes from demand through production and manage application performance from testing through production. "Mercury BTO Enterprise is the largest product launch in Mercury history," said Yuval Scarlat, senior vice president of products at Mercury. "We are introducing more than 20 new product releases with multiple enhancements across all optimization centers. In addition, we are excited about our plans to deliver the new versions of Mercury Optimization Centers and the new application lifecycle offerings through Mercury Managed Services(TM) which will help decrease time-to-value for our customers' IT initiatives." Mercury BTO Enterprise is comprised of new application change and performance lifecycle offerings as well as updates to Mercury IT Governance Center(TM), Mercury Quality Center(TM), Mercury Performance Center(TM), and Mercury Business Availability Center(TM). The new offerings in the Mercury BTO Enterprise include: * Mercury Application Change Lifecycle: an integrated offering that can help customers manage application changes from demand through production in order to mitigate the risk of changes disrupting business outcomes. This offering will enable customers to share assets, testing scripts, diagnostics information, and real-user production data between Mercury Performance Center, Mercury Diagnostics(TM), and Mercury Business Availability Center. * Mercury IT Governance Center 7.0: an integrated offering that helps customers gain visibility and control over the demands made of IT, manage the portfolio of IT projects, and ultimately help measure the business outcomes of strategic IT initiatives and investments. * Mercury Quality Center 8.2: an integrated offering that helps customers automate software quality management and testing across a wide range of application environments to help confirm that business-critical applications will function and deliver the required business outcomes. * Mercury Performance Center 8.1: an integrated offering that helps customers automate application performance testing and help identify and resolve performance bottlenecks that could impair business results once applications are deployed. * Mercury Business Availability Center 6.0: an integrated offering that helps customers manage applications from a business perspective and helps identify and resolve problems in production before they impact business results. "We see an increase in accountability for companies to arm both business and IT executives with the right solutions to ensure they can maximize the business results from their IT initiatives," said Theresa Lanowitz, research director at Gartner, Inc. "Disparate IT groups such as non-technical experts, business analysts, quality managers, portfolio managers and IT operations teams need to work together in a unified and integrated fashion to produce more predictable business results from IT. Ultimately, companies will prioritize investments in the areas of IT that help them work on the right initiatives, ensure these initiatives will meet the business requirements and deliver the right business outcomes."
