Greenlight Capital Inc.'s David Einhorn on Friday disclosed the hedge fund has taken short positions in Safeway Inc. (SWY), Lorillard Inc. (LO), Martin Marietta Materials Inc. (MLM) and Questcor Pharmaceuticals Inc. (QCOR), Reuters reported Friday on its website.

Mr. Einhorn informed investors that Apple Inc. (AAPL), Marvell Technology Group Ltd. (MRVL) and Micron Technology Inc. (MU), meanwhile, have "strong prospects and are undervalued."
