Sharper Image Corporation (NASDAQ:SHRP) today announced that it has appointed James M. Sander senior vice president, general counsel, and corporate secretary effective immediately. Mr. Sander, 50, will report directly to Steven A. Lightman, chief executive officer. �We are pleased to announce the addition of Jim Sander to our team,� said Mr. Lightman. �Jim brings significant public company and SEC legal experience to the company. Throughout his career, Jim has acquired a tremendous amount of retail knowledge and I am confident he will provide outstanding support and value to the Company,� added Lightman. Previously, Mr. Sander was with Holsworth Sander and Associates, PC, a private law practice focused on corporate, commercial, litigation, franchising, FDA, FTC, regulatory and real estate matters. From 1988 to 2005, Mr. Sander was with General Nutrition Companies. From 1993 to 2005, he served as Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & Secretary, and was responsible for regulatory and corporate compliance, litigation and claims, commercial and securities transactions. Prior to the General Nutrition Company, Mr. Sander was an assistant vice president, corporate and securities counsel with Equimark Corporation, and a law clerk and associate attorney with Meyer, Unkovic & Scott in the Corporate, Commercial and Litigation Sections. Mr. Sander holds a J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law, in Pittsburgh, PA, and a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from Grove City College, Grove City, PA. Mr. Sander and his family will be relocating to the San Francisco area from Pittsburgh, PA.
