ST. LOUIS, Feb. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Belden (NYSE:BDC) today announced that David J. Aldrich has been appointed to its board of directors. Mr. Aldrich, 50, is President and Chief Executive Officer of Skyworks Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:SWKS), an innovator of high performance analog and mixed signal semiconductors enabling mobile connectivity, with revenues of $774 million in the year ended September 29, 2006. Previously, he was Chief Financial Officer and later President and Chief Executive Officer of Alpha Industries, Inc., one of two companies that combined to form Skyworks Solutions. He has held senior management positions, including finance director and vice president for strategic planning, at M/A-Com Inc. from 1989 to 1995, and earlier worked for Adams-Russell. Mr. Aldrich has an M.B.A. from the University of Rhode Island and a B.S. from Providence College.
