The SKY73012, which is ideal for quadrature demodulation of RF waveforms from 400 to 3900 MHz, delivers breakthrough simplicity, allowing customers to integrate a single solution across an entire spectrum of radios rather than requiring multiple demodulators for various frequency ranges. �By eliminating intermediate frequency stages of the receiver, our solution offers cellular infrastructure designers an unprecedented degree of design flexibility,� said Sean Martin, senior director of Linear Products at Skyworks. �At the same time, given Skyworks� ability to deliver high levels of analog integration, we are able to significantly reduce costs for high performance receivers with demanding linearity requirements. About the SKY73012 The SKY73012 is an integrated, broadband, high-dynamic range quadrature demodulator with outputs that are differential and can be directly connected to most commonly available analog to digital (A/D) converters. It is also an ideal solution for CDMA, UMTS, GSM/GPRS receivers, WiMAX (IEEE 802.16) radios, RFID readers, power amplifier (PA) feedback/linearization, wireless local loops (WLLs), and wireless local area networks (WLANs). The high dynamic range and second order input intercept point (IIP2) and IIP3 value of the SKY73012 make it ideal for use in direct conversion and low intermediate frequency (IF) receivers. The device features integrated LO balun and amplifier, differential IF output, on-chip in-phase and quadrature (I/Q) phase splitter, and a single +3.0 volt (V) supply. The SKY73012 is also manufactured in lead (Pb)-free, restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS)-compliant packaging.
