Leading supplier of analog mixed-signal products, Exar Corporation (EXAR), recently announced that it has appointed Parviz Ghaffaripour as Senior Vice President of Connectivity and Power Management Products. The new VP will be directly reporting to Exar’s President and CEO (Chief Executive Officer), Louis DiNardo.

Exar designs and manufactures analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for communication, video and imaging products. Connectivity and power management is one of the four product portfolios of Exar. The others are communications products, network security and storage optimization solutions.

Ghaffaripour previously worked as the CEO of Akros Silicon, a privately funded power management company. Prior to Akros, he served as the COO (Chief Operating Officer) at Advanced Analogic Technologies, an analog semiconductor company acquired by Skyworks Solutions Inc. (SWKS).In addition, Ghaffaripour had previously served in technical and management roles at Maxim Integrated Products, Inc. (MXIM), a semiconductor manufacturing company, and National Semiconductor which has been acquired by Texas Instruments Inc. (TXN).

Management of Exar believes that the return of Ghaffaripour, who started his career at Exar in 1984, will add significant value to the firm. His rich experience from previous stints in the analog mixed-signal industry is expected to unleash a spate of new designs, marketing ideas and excellent managerial capabilities for Exar. In addition, his outstanding product knowledge and market selection capabilities are likely to enhance Exar’s work culture.
