'Driving the Future' Message and Las Vegas Location Boosts Dealer Spirits and Sales RIVERSIDE, Calif., Sept. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Fleetwood RV, a leading producer of recreational vehicles, today announced the success of its 2006 National Dealer Meeting. The event -- Fleetwood's first in six years -- was held at Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas, NV from Sunday, August 27 -- Tuesday, August 29, and was attended by over 950 dealers, suppliers and Fleetwood associates. "The theme for this year's National Dealer Meeting was 'Driving the Future,'" said Chris Braun, Executive Vice President of Fleetwood RV. "It was important for us to make sure our dealers knew that while we have been making internal adjustments over the last 18 months, we have continued to maintain our focus on them and the innovative products they need for lasting success in the RV industry." General Session speeches from Braun; Motor Home Vice President, Paul Eskritt; Travel Trailer Vice President, Jim Croxton; Fleetwood Folding Trailer General Manager, John Green; and Group Marketing Manager, Amy Coleman focused on telling dealers how listening to them had started to produce tangible results. Examples of these results include: new 2007 model year products like the value-priced RedLine toy hauler and Terra LX / Fiesta LX Class A gas motor homes; quicker turnaround times for existing product changes, as well as new product rollouts; enhanced service features like electronic Fleetwood Dealer Network (eFDN); and improved marketing collateral such as brochures and brand DVDs. Orders during the event reflected the dealers' positive response to Fleetwood's continued focus. Overall meeting sales goals were exceeded by 88%. Individually, the towable division surpassed its goal by over 78%, while the motor home division surpassed its goal by 99%. In addition, post-event surveys show that 97% of attending dealers feel the event met or exceeded their expectations. Event highlights included keynote speaker, Paul Cummings, Top Dealer Sales awards, and the 15th Annual Circle of Excellence award ceremony where Fleetwood Enterprises President and CEO, Elden Smith reaffirmed the company's growing financial strength and continued positive steps for the future. Attendees also joined Smith as he recounted Fleetwood's historical timeline from 1950 through today.
