RIVERSIDE, Calif., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Fleetwood Homes, a leading producer of manufactured housing, today announced that its recent Fleetwood Homes Academy Training Expo, held in Dallas, TX, was a huge success based on initial feedback from the participants. Thirty sales personnel representing 21 Fleetwood sales offices participated in 13 different "train the trainer" workshops focused on selling the features and benefits of specific suppliers' products. One workshop facilitated by Fleetwood's own Ron Mason, Sharon Mann, and Josh Barrett specifically targeted "selling techniques" at shows. The purpose of the two-day event was to provide feature and benefit information on the quality components in Fleetwood homes so that participants could return to their respective markets and train other Account Sales Managers on the information they learned. John Riddle, National Director, Sales and Marketing, addressed the group and shared the vision for the new Fleetwood Homes Academy: "to provide educational excellence through teaming, learning, and customer focus, thereby enabling Fleetwood to continue to lead our industry and facilitating our Company's growth." Fleetwood Homes Academy partnered with BI, a nationally recognized name in training, to provide leadership, design and facilitation for this event. The next phase will be to develop several key on-line learning courses available to all Fleetwood Homes sales associates as well as Fleetwood dealers.
