Florida Rock Industries, Inc. (NYSE:FRK) announced today that its shareholders have voted to approve Florida Rock�s proposed merger with Vulcan Materials Company. Based on preliminary results, of the 49,262,325 shares voted, approximately 99.8% were voted in favor of the merger. Completion of the merger remains subject to customary closing conditions, including the receipt of regulatory approvals. Florida Rock will issue a press release announcing the anticipated closing date of the proposed merger and the anticipated deadline for shareholders to submit consideration election forms when those dates are known.
