CLEVELAND, June 7 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mellon Financial Corporation (NYSE:MEL) announced that William G. Caster has been appointed regional president of Ohio for its Private Wealth Management group. In this role, Caster will head the group's sales, portfolio management, and private banking efforts throughout the Ohio region. He will be based in Cleveland and reports to Larry Hughes, executive vice president. "Bill's deep familiarity with the market, combined with his leadership and strategic skills, will help us further extend Mellon's reach to high net worth individuals and families throughout this important region," said Hughes. With more than 25 years' experience in financial services, Caster joins Mellon after 18 years with KeyCorp. Most recently, he was senior managing director and sales leadership director for KeyCorp's Wealth Management and Trust Group. In this position he was responsible for sales process and management and overall leadership for KeyCorp's high net worth client segment. Caster has had leadership responsibility for KeyCorp's high net worth business in the Midwest, Rocky Mountain, and Northwest regions. Caster received his bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University and his MBA from Case Western Reserve University. He also attended the National Trust School and National Graduate Trust School. He is chairman of the board of Vocational Guidance Services and also is on the board of directors of Positive Educational Program and the Chagrin Falls Educational Foundation.
