This recognition follows the magazine's annual survey that evaluates the reputation of companies with large U.S. operations. To identify "America's Most Admired Companies" for 2006, Fortune asked 10,000 executives, directors and securities analysts to rate companies based on criteria including investment value, innovation, financial soundness, employee talent, quality of management and social responsibility.
