The cumulative average return on the group stands at a plus 0.606 percent, led higher by the 1.20 percent advance in the German DAX. European tech stocks have led the way thanks to Yahoo and Dell's good news last night. Today is expected to be a very light volume day as traders begin to get ready for the three-day weekend. Last night, Yahoo reported better than expected first-quarter earnings and also announced a 2-for-1 split. The stock rose 10 percent on the news. Adding to this morning's excitement, Dell increased first-quarter revenue due to increasing overseas markets. The Dow Jones Industrial average will officially add American International Group, Pfizer, and Verizon Communication while removing AT&T, International Paper, and Eastman Kodak.
