The MGM Channel to Launch in Spain MGM Networks Strikes Venture
with Media Park, Spain's Leading Channel Provider, to Launch
Localized Channel This Summer LOS ANGELES and BARCELONA, Spain, May

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Inc. (NYSE:MGM) and Media Park, S.A. announced
an agreement to launch and distribute a localized MGM channel to
subscribers across Spain beginning this summer. (Logo:

will be dubbed into Castilian Spanish. To further enhance Media
Park's current offering of seven channels to Spanish multi-channel
subscribers, MGM Networks and Media Park will re-launch and
re-brand Media Park's existing "canalstar" channel as the MGM
Channel. This MGM-branded re-launch will allow the channel to reach
a significant Spanish subscriber base from its first day. The MGM
Channel in Spain will transmit from Media Park's facilities in
Barcelona, presenting round-the-clock offerings from MGM's
celebrated 4,000-title library, the world's largest library of
modern films. Planned offerings include the five "Rocky" films,
"Sex, Lies and Videotape," "The Manchurian Candidate," "The
Basketball Diaries," Fellini's "Roma," "Rush," "The Misfits," "The
Pope of Greenwich Village," "La Cage aux Folles," "Drugstore
Cowboy" and "Sweet Smell of Success." With this deal, MGM Networks
now has channel interests in 110 countries, more than quadrupling
its worldwide holdings the past three years. MGM's reach in Western
Europe includes branded channels that air in Germany, Austria,
Switzerland, Liechtenstein, The Netherlands, Greece, Portugal,
Cyprus, Iceland and Malta, and branded programming blocks in
Scandinavia and France. Other holdings operate across North and
South America, Europe, Africa and the Asia/Pacific region, through
MGM-branded channels on cable, satellite and other pay-TV systems.
