This MGM-branded re-launch will allow the channel to reach a significant Spanish subscriber base from its first day. The MGM Channel in Spain will transmit from Media Park's facilities in Barcelona, presenting round-the-clock offerings from MGM's celebrated 4,000-title library, the world's largest library of modern films. Planned offerings include the five "Rocky" films, "Sex, Lies and Videotape," "The Manchurian Candidate," "The Basketball Diaries," Fellini's "Roma," "Rush," "The Misfits," "The Pope of Greenwich Village," "La Cage aux Folles," "Drugstore Cowboy" and "Sweet Smell of Success." With this deal, MGM Networks now has channel interests in 110 countries, more than quadrupling its worldwide holdings the past three years.
