Company ranked third in Ohio, fourth among industrial and manufacturing peers as adoption-friendly workplace DAYTON, Ohio, May 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Employees at Standard Register (NYSE:SR) are not alone in recognizing the company's adoption policy as an outstanding benefit. The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption(R) recently recognized the company as one of the Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces in the country for 2007. The only Dayton-area company to be recognized, Standard Register was ranked third on the list of Ohio's Best Adoption-Friendly Workplaces, and the company received a ranking of fourth on the list of national leaders in the industrial and manufacturing markets. Rankings were based on employers' overall adoption benefits, such as the amount of financial reimbursement and paid leave available to employees who adopt. Established in January 2006, Standard Register's policy on adoption provides employees with up to $4,000 of financial assistance as well as up to four weeks of paid leave. These benefits apply to both female and male employees.
