PR Newswire (US)
CASTLE ROCK, Colo., April 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Integrated
Management Information, Inc. (IMI Global) (OTC:INMG) (BULLETIN
BOARD: INMG) , a leading provider of verification and Internet
solutions for the agricultural/livestock industry, today announced
the launch of AgNetwork.com, a comprehensive new source of news and
information for the international agricultural community. The
launch was accompanied by AgNetwork's first email newsletter, a
periodic feature available to visitors to the site. "Business
dynamics within agriculture are increasingly multifaceted, global
and interactive," said Dr. Nevil Speer, Professor, Western Kentucky
University. "Within that environment decision making needs to be
quick and accurate -- it requires access to the most up-to-date
developments. Agnetwork facilitates the need for a one-stop,
comprehensive and customizable outlet providing stakeholders with a
continual stream of news and information." The AgNetwork Web site
is based on IMI Global's successful CattleNetwork.com model, which
has grown steadily and rapidly into one of the nation's leading
sources of news and information on the cattle industry. In 2006,
CattleNetwork had 1.2 million unique visitors, up 108% over 2005,
and reported strong growth in other traffic categories as well as
advertisers and revenue. "Based on the rapid growth and success of
CattleNetwork, which addresses the domestic cattle industry, we
believe we have a strong opportunity to be successful with
AgNetwork, which brings a similarly valuable service to a worldwide
audience," Saunders said. "As a one-stop-shop for consumers of
global agricultural news and information, AgNetwork offers sponsors
a cost- effective way to reach a worldwide audience with their
products and services." On the consumer side, AgNetwork will appeal
to farmers, ranchers, livestock feeders, meat packers, commodities
traders, regulatory agencies and industry media. On the sponsor
side, AgNetwork will appeal to a wide audience ranging from
equipment manufacturers and dealers to seed and fertilizer
suppliers to animal health manufacturers and distributors. Rob
Cook, vice president of networks for IMI Global, said the site will
include up to the minute data on a diverse range of agricultural
subjects, including industry news, forecasts, charts of livestock
and crop prices, weather and relevant political news along with
chat and interactive forums directed by international experts on a
wide variety of subjects. "AgNetwork uniquely aggregates an
enormous amount of fragmented news, information and other data from
disparate sources into a single, easy-to- navigate Web site that
gives users the ability to locate and analyze valuable information
in a fraction of the time it formerly required," Cook said. "With
the advent of the global economy and proliferation of world trade,
AgNetwork is the right solution at the right time for the worldwide
agricultural industry." In addition to the United States, AgNetwork
will cover Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, South
America and the emerging independent states of Central Asia,
providing information specific to each commodity in each region.
Segments covered will include grain, feedstuffs, dairy, cattle,
hogs, poultry and energy. About IMI Global Founded in 1995, IMI
