High Ridge Resources Inc. ("High Ridge") (TSX VENTURE:HRR)(FRANKFURT:HR2) is
pleased to announce that diamond drilling is underway on its Rosicler-El Domo
project near San Mateo, 90 km east of Lima, Peru.
Geotecnia Peruana S.R.L. is now on High Ridge's Rosicler-El Domo property and
has commenced drilling of a 3,000-4,000 meters drill program. In the last six
weeks High Ridge has been constructing an over 10 kilometer long system of
access roads to the project area and drilling platforms.
Gary Anderson, President and CEO of High Ridge, commented: "It is rewarding to
see the start of drilling on Rosicler-El Domo project following the intense
effort of the High Ridge team. Our staff has been working diligently to set up
this drilling program, which will contribute directly toward the resource
delineation on the property."
High Ridge has completed in total nearly 50 line kilometers of IP/resistivity
and magnetic surveys over the north-central portion of the Rosicler-El Domo
property (news release, August 26, 2008). A particularly strong
"doughnut"-shaped IP geophysical anomaly with a minimum length of more than
1,500 meters and width in excess of 600 meters was found to partly overlap with
significant copper-leadzinc- silver and gold geochemical anomalies, the
polymetallic Rosicler vein system, as well as strongly altered (argillic
alteration and silicification) El Domo structure. This IP anomaly is interpreted
as sulphides probably associated with porphyry-style mineralized setting. The
program is estimated to take from 9-12 weeks to complete.
About High Ridge Resources Inc.:
High Ridge is focused on large scale exploration projects in British Columbia
and Peru. In addition to the Peruvian gold and polymetallic projects, High Ridge
has three advanced exploration projects in British Columbia. These properties
include the Chuchi property (Cu-Au porphyry), 30 km northwest of Terrane's Mt.
Milligan project; Newton Mountain (Au-Cu porphyry), 35 km north of Taseko Mine's
Prosperity project - formerly Fish Lake (Au-Cu porphyry); and the Silver Bay
(Ag, Pb, Zn, and Cu porphyry) project, 10 km south of Cominco's former Bluebell
mine.
