Hearst-Argyle Television Stations Earn 18 Regional Edward R. Murrow Awards

NEW YORK, April 9 /PRNewswire/ -- Eleven Hearst-Argyle Television,
Inc. stations have been honored with a total of 18 regional Edward
R. Murrow Awards, given by the Radio-Television News Directors
Association (RTNDA). Two of the stations -- KCCI-TV, Des Moines,
and WMUR-TV, Manchester, N.H. -- were honored with Overall
Excellence recognition, in part for their in-depth coverage of the
presidential campaigns in their respective states. Hearst-Argyle
and its stations also recently were honored with a Peabody Award
and a fifth consecutive USC Walter Cronkite Award for political
coverage. KCCI, WMUR and the other Hearst-Argyle recipients also
were recognized in part for vital coverage of major weather events
