                      COMPLETION OF SALE OF PFI PORTFOLIO                      

Amey completed the sale of the PFI Portfolio to Laing Investments Limited
following receipt of shareholder approval at an Extraordinary General Meeting
held on 14 March. The Group's new banking facilities have now become
unconditional.
