FMR Corp.

Pursuant to the obligation placed on us by paragraph 9.11 of the Listing Rules,
we advise that on 11 June 2003, the Company received notification that FMR Corp.
and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity International Limited and
its direct and indirect subsidiaries no longer have a notifiable interest in the
Ordinary Share Capital of Irish Continental Group plc.

Canada Life Group

Pursuant to the obligation placed on us by paragraph 9.11 of the Listing Rules,
we advise that on 10 June 2003, the Company received notification that the
Canada Life Group no longer has a notifiable interest in the Ordinary Share
Capital of Irish Continental Group plc.
