At the Annual General Meeting of Martin Currie Japan Investment Trust
plc today, all resolutions were duly passed.

The chairman, Dr John Drysdale, retired from the board with effect from
the conclusion of the meeting, and is succeeded as chairman by Mr Fred
Shedden.
