Baltia Has Acquired Facilities at JFK's International Air Terminal
NEW YORK, Nov. 3 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Baltia Air Lines has
moved to JFK and is setting up its base of operations at the
International Air Terminal (IAT), also known as Terminal 4. IAT is
a new terminal with state-of-the-art facilities. In addition to
having its headquarters at JFK, the terminal will provide to the
new airline a host of station facilities, including luggage
handling, check-in positions, passenger gates, and first and
business class accommodations for "Club Baltia" passengers. The
terminal has capacity to accommodate Baltia's flight schedule as it
expands. Baltia's personnel will manage all ticketing/check-in
operations at the terminal. Baltia is a US startup airline
proposing to operate in a niche market, flying nonstop from New
York's JFK Airport to St Petersburg and to other cities within
Russia and the Baltic region. Baltia's marketing staff has
experience in this large, untapped market, and the operations staff
had years of major air carrier experience. The start of service is
planned for the first half of 2004 with one B747. More information
