Dow Corning Invests in New Facilities for Customer Innovation to Support Asia Growth SHANGHAI, China, Nov. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Dow Corning Corporation today announced it has embarked on an expansion of its Songjiang Application Center, increasing the company's capability to provide innovative solutions for customers in Asia. Development of the facility is under way at the Songjiang Industrial Zone, Shanghai, adjacent to Dow Corning's manufacturing plant. The expansion represents the company's continued commitment to science and technology excellence and to supporting the needs of customers in the Asia region through opportunities for collaboration in innovative product application and technology solutions. Completion of the new facility is projected in approximately 12 months. The new extension will be linked to the existing building and provide an additional 26,000 square feet of space including laboratories for new product development and analytical testing. Additional technical professionals will be recruited to serve customers in the textile, personal and household care, construction, rubber, plastic and other processing industries.
