AAD Added Capital

Archangel Diamond Corporation ("Archangel" or the "Corporation") (TSX
VENTURE:AAD) has announced the resignation of Mr. Tony Guthrie as a Board
member. The Board expresses its appreciation for his service to the Corporation.


The Board has appointed Mr. Robin (Rob) Smart to replace Mr. Guthrie.

Rob Smart has 32 years of mining, engineering and general management experience
with the De Beers Family of Companies. Mr. Smart is Group Manager Technical
Leadership and Assurance in De Beers. In addition, he is Chairman of De Beers
Marine Namibia and serves on the technical committees of several joint venture
boards in Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa.
