Colonia Energy Corp. ("Colonia" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:CLA) is pleased
to announce that it has received the required shareholder and TSX Venture
Exchange ("TSXV") approval to implement its previously announced proposed share
consolidation of all of its issued and outstanding common shares on the basis of
one (1) post-consolidation common share for every ten (10) pre-consolidation
common shares and name change to "Renegade Petroleum Ltd.". The consolidation
and name change resolutions were approved at the Company's special meeting of
shareholders held on January 12, 2010 with approximately 99% of all votes cast
in favor of the resolutions. 


Accordingly, effective at market opening on January 19, 2010, the Company's
common shares currently listed on the TSXV under the symbol "CLA" will commence
trading under the new name "Renegade Petroleum Ltd." and on a post-consolidated
basis under the new symbol "RPL".


Effective upon the consolidation the Company will have approximately 32,271,317
common shares issue and outstanding. 


Letters of transmittal have been mailed to registered holders of common shares
of Colonia requesting them to forward the certificates representing their common
shares to Olympia Trust Company in exchange for certificates representing the
number of post-consolidation common shares of Renegade Petroleum Ltd. to which
they are entitled in accordance with the instructions contained in the letters
of transmittal. If a registered shareholder does not receive a letter of
transmittal by January 21, 2010, please contact the Company at the contact
