GMK Goldmark Minerals Com Npv

Goldmark Minerals Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:GMK) announces its financial and operating
results for the three months ending March 31, 2008.


During the first quarter of 2008, Goldmark reported revenue of $14,000 was
generated from interest income. In the same period of 2007 the Company realized
a gain of $204,000 on the sale of assets in Alaska. Other costs for the period
include non-cash compensation of $12,000 and overhead expenses of $52,000. As a
result the Company reported a loss of $79,000 Compared with earnings of $114,000
in Q1 2007 Goldmark finished Q1 2008 with a strong work capital position of $1,6
million and no long term debt.


Exploration and Business Development

Ecuador

During the first quarter of 2008, no work was conducted on the property as
Goldmark is waiting for the approval of the environment assessment study that
was submitted to the Ecuadorian government in June of 2007. Goldmark is not
permitted to conduct any further work until it is approved.


Alaska

During 2007, Goldmark entered into an agreement to acquire certain properties in
Alaska subject to a review of certain information with respect to the property.
Subsequent to the review process Goldmark has elected not to complete the
acquisition. In Q1 2008, Goldmark incurred an additional $31,000 on the
evaluation of this property. Goldmark elected not to close on the acquisition
agreement and these costs have been expensed in business development costs for
the quarter.


Business Outlook

Goldmark's business plan has been to capitalize on cyclically high metal prices,
driven by growing world demand, by developing an opportunistic approach to the
acquisition of property, along with an exploration program in Ecuador, Peru,
Chile and Alaska.


Goldmark is continuing to review a series of opportunities and remains
optimistic that the growing demand in metal and the current limited supply will
result in significant opportunities for the Company in 2008.
