TORONTO, Dec. 21, 2011 /CNW/ - Gondwana Gold Inc. (the "Company") today announced that it has appointed Francois Auclair M.SC, FGAC, GEO as Lead Geologist and Qualified Person. Mr. Auclair has over 25 years experience in mining exploration and project development, which includes extensive experience in West Africa overseeing and coordinating exploration work in Mauritania, Mali, Senegal, Benin, Sierra Leone and Ghana. During the last decade, Mr. Auclair has served as General Manager and Mauritanian country manager of Tasiast in Mauritania for Rio Narcea Gold Mines that was acquired by Redback. Mr. Auclair holds a Masters in Geology and Geochemistry from the University of Montreal and a Ph.D in Geochemistry from McGill University. He is a member of the Quebec Order of Geologists, the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada and is a Fellow of the Geological Association of Canada.
