HBE Hornby Bay Mineral Exploration Ltd

Hornby Bay Mineral Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:HBE) (the "Company") has
received a Statement Claim filed by Bellmin Inc. ("Bellmin") a corporation
controlled by an associate of George Bell, former President and Chief Executive
Officer of the Company, alleging, among other things, the breach by the Company
of the terms of a consulting agreement between the Company and Bellmin and the
default of payment under a promissory note in favour of Bellmin.


The Company is currently reviewing its corporate records in connection with the
claim and intends to vigorously defend against this action.
