JRN Jourdan Resources Inc.

Jourdan Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:JRN) ("Jourdan" or "the Company") announces
it will seek shareholder approval at its upcoming annual and special meeting
scheduled for July 21, 2010 in Montreal, to consolidate its common shares at a
rate of one (1) new common share for each tranche of four (4) outstanding common
shares.


As at June 28, 2010, there were 72,131,833 common shares issued and outstanding.
Following the consolidation, the Company would have approximately 18,032,958
common shares issued and outstanding. The Company will not change its name in
connection with the consolidation. However, the Company will adopt a new trading
symbol. Such new trading symbol has not yet been determined but will be
disclosed at a later date by the Company by way of press release. Additional

The resolution regarding the consolidation must be approved by at least two
thirds (2/3) of the votes cast at the meeting by the shareholders. The
consolidation is also subject to regulatory approval. 


It is the Board of Directors' opinion, that Jourdan's existing issued and
outstanding common share structure is not conducive to securing additional
equity financing and that a restructuring is warranted in order to facilitate
attracting new investments to the Company. Implementing the restructuring
process in a timely manner will also put Jourdan in a much stronger position to
take advantage of potential value-added opportunities.
