Komet Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:KMT) is pleased to announce that Mr. Andre
Gagne has been appointed President and CEO. Mr. Gagne, who was already a member
of the Board of Directors, has accepted with enthusiasm the challenge to manage
this new gold exploration company recently listed on the TSX Venture exchange.
Until last May, he was President and CEO of Robex Resources Inc., a Canadian
mining company that he successfully restructured within 6 years from a
distressed asset to a gold producer whose mine will start up this month. He is
an accomplished businessman with over 30 years' experience and he is also member
of the board of several companies.


Mr. Gagne states: ''It is with great pride that I accept this opportunity
offered by the Board of Directors of Komet Resources. My strategy will be simple
and efficient: bring together a competent multi-tasking team, find and acquire
promising projects and ensure the sustainability and growth of Komet by way of
mine production as soon as possible."


We wish to mention all the efforts and leadership of Mr. Michel Lebeuf Jr. as
CEO and President during the transitional period. Komet will benefit from Mr.
Lebeuf's experience as he will remain Director.


Appointment of Mr. Robert Wares as Chairman of the Board of Directors

Bob Wares' reputation needs no introduction. Co-Founder of Osisko Mining and
Director on the Board of many mining exploration companies, he is also the
President and Director of the Quebec's Order of Geologist (Ordre des geologues
du Quebec).
