Val-d'Or, Quebec, January 14, 2014, - Knick Exploration
Inc. (TSX-V: KNX)
is pleased to report that it will be concentrating
its exploration effort on its tungsten assets of the Trecesson
Property for the immediate future. The tungsten area is host to 2
main veins. The number 9 vein having a strike length of 450 meters
and reported widths up to 7 meters and the Scheelite Vein which has
been traced for a length of 250 meters. Initial 2013 grab samples results
from "Vein No. 9" by Knick ran 0.64%, 0.63% and
0.55% tungsten tri-oxide
and a grab sample that
assayed 420.37g/t
gold returned 0.2% tungsten-trioxide.
The Scheelite Vein area has returned tungsten with gold as 3.2% tungsten
tri-oxide (WO3) in a grab sample which assayed
51g/t gold.
The
tungsten affiliation with
gold in the Trecesson Batholith vein systems
increases the potential of outlining economical deposits in the
area.
World demand for
tungsten is continuing to increase. China
controls approximately 80% of the market followed by the former
USSR with about 8%. Typical grades for tungsten are
0.3 to 1.5% tungsten
tri-oxide for veins, lower for
stockworks.
The property covers
most of the Trecesson
Batholith which has similar characteristics to the Bourlamaque
Batholith of the Val d'
Or mining
camp. Tungsten was produced during the war
effort at Sigma Mines peripheral to the Bourlamaque Batholith and
is present at the Beaufor mine within the batholith.
The property is
located 12 km north of the town of Amos and approximately 65
km north northwest of Val
d' Or.
The Trecesson Gold Property is traversed by paved and all weather
gravel roads making it accessible year round.
Further information is available
at www.knick.ca .
Grab samples are
selective by nature and are unlikely to represent the average grade
of the mineralized zone. All assay laboratory
results stated above have been previously released.
Samples were sent to Expert
Laboratory in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec for analysis.
Fire assay, multi element scan and
XRF method were implemented for analysis.
Standards and blanks are submitted
by Knick routinely to insure quality control.
